Clouds stretching in the endless realm of the sky,

Have once more enshrouded my humble abode,

Darkening my world with kohl-rimmed corners,

Urging to lose myself on memory’s road…

Whose shadow is it that enamours the cerulean blue?

While my small dwelling retreats in its murky shade,

Wherefrom arises the moist breeze that serenades,

Enveloping me in a longing that doesn’t seem to fade!

Unchained, my mind wanders freely on the clouds,

Whose whispers bring solace to my aching heart,

I find myself running through lanes of nostalgia,

Into the misty aura that memories impart!

With the rumbling of clouds, I hum a familiar tune,

Long forgotten in the by lanes of yesterday,

A yearning resembling the parched earth,

As it awaits bountiful showers, making the boughs sway!
